Dmitry came to Edinburgh from Russia where he worked as a research fellow in RUSNANO Corporation. He will work on designing solvents and adsorbents for carbon capture using computational simulations of ionic liquids, amines and porous structures (supervisor Prof. Lev Sarkisov) and experimentally he will functionalise and characterise those materials (co-supervisor Prof. Eleanor Campbell).
