Eleanor and Anna-Maria (outreach coordinator) led a team of outreach volunteers from the School to the beautiful Isle of Bute (Eleanor’s home island) on 12^th and 13^th January. The local newspaper, The Buteman, gave them some great publicity and Eleanor was interviewed on the local radio station on Friday afternoon. The team organised an evening of pub entertainment (“Science Shots” at Ghillie’s Bar) and then ran a small science fair at Rothesay Academy on Saturday morning. Both events attracted a great turnout from the “locals” and great fun was had by all.
