Minas joined the Campbell group in 2016, after obtaining his Master’s in Chemistry degree from the University of Edinburgh. His Master’s thesis was supervised by Dr. Adam Kirrander and involved a theoretical comparison of the ultrafast X-ray and electron diffraction of ethylene molecules.

In his PhD research, Minas studies the highly excited electronic Rydberg states of various endohedral fullerenes and PAHs, by combining gas phase experimental Rydberg fingerprint spectroscopy with quantum chemical calculations.

When not in the lab, Minas enjoys playing guitar, football, and hiking. He also likes to decorate his beard at Christmas.
