I finished my Ph.D. in Eleanor's group and went on to work on graphene as a post-doc at UFMG (Universidade Federal De Minas Gerais) in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

My Ph.D. was about growth and electromechanical properties of carbon nanotubes. I developed and investigated a local heating technique to grow nanotubes in a CMOS-compatible process. This technique also allowed in situ characterisation (Raman spectroscopy and optical microscopy) of the growth. I studied the electromechanical properties of bundles of carbon nanotubes, and characterised an electromechanical device of nanotubes, a varactor.

I grew up in Gothenburg in Sweden where I also studied Engineering Physics at Chalmers University of Technology. In my 4th and 5th years I studied a Master's programme in Nanoscale Science and Technology. I did my Masters project at IMEC in Belgium. After I graduated I returned to work at IMEC for a few months before I moved back to Gothenburg where I joined the Atomic Physics group led by Eleanor at Gothenburg University.
